there was an outdoor concrete jam yesterday afternoon in Orlando
I'll write more about that later
I'm here at the JFK international airport in New York, waiting for my plane ride back to Washington D.C. For some reason, I can get a direct flight from D.C. --> Ft. Lauderdale, but cannot get one back. I am having to go from Ft. Lauderdale --> NYC --> D.C. Luckly, I am riding Jet Blue Airlines. Out of the flying I do, Jet Blue is amongst my favorite airlines. They got Direct TV screens behind each seat, free wi-fi in their airport terminals, food, and non of that crap paying for luggage stuff. (well, up to a point)
My other favorite airline is Korean Air.
Have y'all seen the stewardesses on Korean Air?!?!
**shakes head in amazement**
Speaking of travel, here are the dance events I plan to go to next:
THE BREAKOFF 2010Baltimore, Maryland
April 24, 2010
This event will be located at Johns Hopkins University on Saturday, 24 April 2010. To me, it looks like a mini 1v1 Monster Jam style tourney. Dancers competing will include Isaiah, b-girl Shie Chan (Japan), E-Rock, Napalm, Goofball, and others. I'm secretly a big E-Rock fan. That guy is ill! From the legendary Breaks Kru in NYC, this cat like fast as hell and has a crazy dance flow.

Shie-Chan vs E-Rock here.
Dyzee will be judging this event, so expect another Strife/Supernaturalz collaboration video!
MADFLAVA 2: The PhởreshnessTwin Cities, Minnesota
May 8, 2010
My friend Mihnzy from my university, UW-Madison, is organizing this super fun event in Saint Paul, MN. Mihnzy's a food fiend, thus there will be bowls of phở available to eat (vietnamese beef noodle soup). Although it is a small event, there will still be some nice exhibition battles, including Mijo vs Los Boogie.
Proceeds from this event will go to Tiny Toones Cambodia,
http://www.tinytoones.org. Tiny Toones uses b-boying, hip hop music, and the contemporary arts as creative tools to empower the youth of Cambodia to live healthier lives free of HIV and drugs, build a more promising future by furthering their education opportunities and more.
I'm really excited about this event because I've never been to a dance competition the Twin Cities. Furthermore, I grew up in that region! (in Sioux Falls, South Dakota) My brother & sister are currently living in the Twin Cities, so it will be nice to see family again, as well as other friends since my early childhood. I do miss the Midwest at times.
...I might still go to
BREAKIN' THE LAW: 7 DEADLY STYLES, but that would really depend if my finances allow me. The other Strife folks like Erich & Ari will be going, however.
Peace, Love, and Cookies
On another random note, I saw the movie
Kick-Ass the other night. That movie was craaazy fun! It was like SuperBad meets Kill Bill, vol. 1. Apparently it has been getting mixed reviews; either really creative or really vulgar & horrible. My review of Kill Bill? It is creative, more creative than most of the films out already. Nicolas Cage was amazing, and of course, the 11 year old Hit Girl stole the show. My favorite movie so far of 2010.
