Connor took his 1st steps yesterday. We were at a garden store (they had a lot of kids activities and pumpkins in the greenhouse area) Connor was decorating a pumpkin, then turned and took two steps away from the table. Then he dropped to his knees. But Sean and I both got to see those 1st steps. Yesterday was just an exciting day. First the pumpkins and steps. Then a fire. Not at our place, and not really bad, but a fire none the less.
We went to get pumpkins with Sean's cousin. Then Connor and I were hanging out at their house while Sean packed up and moved his office. (Long story, but he's being transferred). There was a good fire going in the fireplace, their son fell asleep, Connor was on the floor playing, and we were just getting into a movie. Chrissy thought the fire smelled hot. Suddenly, the smoke detector went off. Lukas woke up, Chrissy and I grabbed the kids, coats, and purses. Mike went to check it out. She couldn't find her phone, but mine was in my hand. Minutes later, the fire dept was there. After a little over an hour, we could go back inside. Something in the chimney started to burn cause the fire was too hot. Connor got excited seeing all the trucks. Everyone is ok, the house is ok. The fireplace isn't, but that can be replaced.
