OK. So. Where do we go from here
Ruby: I think Ruby followed John out of hell. She certainly didn't have any demonic friends from the look of things. I also wonder if she's not the winner of the Survivor: PsyKids - Medieval Edition. It might explain why she remembered her humanity in the Pit.
ETA: I don't think she's good. I think she's like Dean and wants redemption so she doesn't have to go back to hell.
Dean: ... is so going to the Pit. I don't doubt for a moment that he'll STAY there, but he's going. Otherwise it's just always going to be "Why don't they just make a deal?"
Sam: No clue. I'm just liking him this season almost as much as Dean. So more please.
ETA: RE: Sam leaving Dean to die alone: I'm posting my comment from elsewhere.
Sam was in panic mode. My yinyang of the Brothers Win: Dean gets quiet and still when he panics, Sam gets loud and broad wild actions.
In Salvation/Devils Trap - Sam is bouncing off the walls. Dean is stunned to standing still. Sam provokes Dean into action and Dean keeps Sam from flying off the handle.
In both Faith and In My Time of Dying, Sam runs from the sight of Dean dying.
In Nightmare he is physically restrained while forced to watch Dean die and the result is a TK punch (movement of a sort).
So when Dean goes down, Sam starts moving and does not stop. Reason is not in his vocabulary. The only person who can force him to be reasonable was choking on his own blood.
The Big Bad: I'm thinking it's someone/thing we've met. Meg, Jake, Ava or even more delicious - Andy ... Or someone/thing mentioned - like Samuel Colt
Mary: I'm curious also about Mary Winchester. Because she did not go all glowy like John did. And quite frankly, Missouri's feeling that she was destroyed doesn't really hold that much weight with me. I wonder if she was like Ruby. I don't think she's the Big Bad - but if she is, reminding her of who and what they are will probably be how Dean survives and ultimately gets out of hell.
