oh i know the past is important.

but i'm not one to really care of the past i'm more of a present time/future kind of person.

but even thou i don't like a subject i usually do my best to get something out of the class whether i want to or not.

and i really didn't out of 20th century, or any of those - maybe it's just my interest level, but i can say what i learned in those classes hasn't helped me at all through any of my courses..

maybe it's because a lot of my classes are science based, but for the ones that aren't (such has my history classes) nothing from my previous education has helped..

Every English teacher teaches differently and you never really know what they're going to say about grammar, words, etc..

But, I do think that in college, the content of the paper is more important than how it's written (well, in any class that isn't really a class specifically for learning how to write of course)

I think it's good though to take as many writing classes and such as you can beofre college, so you can understand how people teach differently and just devolp your own style..

But numbers of setences in paragraphs is dumb. I doubt college profs have time to count sentences in everyones paper :p
