I think everything works out in time...and what i wrote earlier makes so much sense now about how "Maybe it's not until you come full circle, back to the point of treasuring your parents and not wanting to leave them, that you are finally, truly ready to leave." It hit me this week how much I'm going to miss my parents and how much i do care.
The game of uno is the ultimate form of reconciliation.
