(no subject)
Well, I'm at work, starting another 12 hour Saturday overnight shift, woooooo!!!! For now at least I'm not alone - my manager Peggy is here because she's on call today for the reference lab. Poor thing, she got called in at 1am last night and was here until 11am this morning, and then got called back in this afternoon, so she hasn't slept. :( Hopefully she gets done with what she's doing and gets to go home and sleep soon -- and hopefully I don't end up having to call her back in again tonight, because that would SUCK. She's on call until 0700 tomorrow morning. :(
Well, in the realm of school stuff, I did manage to get my chemistry class dropped, and after a bit of heart-stopping drama, I got a full refund on it (or rather, my company will). So I'll be able to just retake it in the spring with a different (hopefully BETTER) instructor. So that means this fall should be a breeze, with just the math class. At least that's less class that I'll have to miss when we go to Florida in November for the wedding. So that's good. Plus I'm actually doing well in the math class, so that should keep my GPA at 4.0. Woot!
I feel kinda like a slacker only taking the one class though. I wonder if it's too late to get into a late start class of something. Probably, I think those start the first week of October. Oh well, I'll just have to take Chemistry in the spring, and maybe a couple little classes next summer, like my other PE and my other English that I need, and then I'll be all ready to start my Clinical Lab Tech program next fall! At which time I'll be going to school full time M-F during the DAY and I'll have to switch to a different shift here at work somehow. Not sure how that's going to work yet, I haven't actually officially asked my 2nd shift colleague if she'll swap shifts with me yet. Hrmmph. Oh well, it's a year away, who knows what can happen in a year?! Right?!
I tried laying down this afternoon, but NO DICE. I got ZERO sleep. So this should be another interesting night of trying to stay awake. I brought the antenna again to hook to the TV so I can watch SNL tonight. And I brought the Nintendo DS w/ Puzzle Quest, and the same DVDs and iPod that I didn't really use last weekend. And Olivia Munn is partying in Chicago at the moment, so she'll surely be awake Twittering right?! :)
Oh, and I STILL haven't gotten to watch Smallville or Supernatural premieres yet, so DON'T SPOIL ME! I'll have to try to watch them tomorrow evening or something. I dunno. Errgh. At least I won't have to deal with Dave waking me up tomorrow, he's going to an airshow at Scott AFB with his parents tomorrow. Ah, blissful quiet. :)
