It seemed like destiny.

Festifools, now it it's third year, was a year in the making for us. I was enchanted by the idea of a free-for-all parade with the din of bucketdrums and giant, looming puppets where the lines blurred easily between linearity, order or even between spectator and participant. I knew I had to go get me some of that.

Oh yeah. He actually had a second 'normal' face on the other side and he'd routinely spin around. Both years I have attended are chock-full of liberal-leaning politi-puppets: Hamburger dude above and big fat insulin baby for food excess, at least one 'energy pig' with a socket for a snout and such, Jesus with his iPod and carmel Machiatto, lots of feminist riffs on Spring Break or the objectification of women, an effigy of the mayor (the real mayor actually paraded around with him) and at least two Obamas saving the economy.

On the other hand, one kid did build a puppet that was just a mean looking tank, so ha.
