For yuletide, I got Four Brothers fic! I had to flail around in my chair for a good few minutes before I even read the story, and then I did read it, and I had to shuffle in my seat some more.

CJ, I love you so much. Really, I - I don't even have anything here. Just delight. And love. And a longing for a Gabe and a Travie and a Bill of my very own.

- also, Angela and I were just discussing the feasibility of vegan special brownies yesterday. Have you actually found a workable recipe?

I've heard that sauteeing the pot in cooking oil is better than using butter anyway, so. That's the only real crucial step anyway. I'm sure you could put it in ANY baking recipe that calls for a certain amount of vegetable oil.

Heee. I love you right back, Jori! So, really, this all works out.

Also, I haven't found a vegan recipe for special brownies, but there should be one, don't you think? And I'm sure if anyone has one, it's Gabe.

However, what Elaine said about the cooking oil is what I've heard, too, so it's probably easier than we think.

...and I have officially just spent way too much time looking up pot brownie recipes on the internet. It's so simple! I want to make some right now!

I wish the boy would be back already. His best friend is a dealer. Oh man, this is so going to be my new project.

You should make some. Then you can let me know how they turn out. I've never actually made pot brownies before, and I'm curious.

See, this is what I've always been afraid of with those. A friend of mine let me try a marijuana-flavored sucker once (I don't know, either, man) and it was about as offensive to the taste buds as I'd expected. I wouldn't want my pastries to actually taste like foliage.

Did they strain the grass from the oil after simmering it? Because I hear if you don't, they wind up tasting like, well, like you're eating marijuana.
