Quite the Surprise
Hm. Watched up to the second episode of Hundred.
I'm enjoying it far more than I expected to. Hopefully, it continues to be entertaining, and does not go down the Infinite Stratos path. Critics/detractors (of the first episode, mind--a good reason why they shouldn't have been and should not be heeded) made reasonable points regarding the apparent flaws of what was presented, but actually watching the episodes made me think that they weren't giving it a fair shake.
While the show did use some extremely trite tropes--ones present in countless harem/ecchi anime before it--the presentation of everything else was quite entertaining. The show's art direction was faithful to the originating art of Ookuma (of Nitro+). Good, too, because his art is very high-level, if not top-tier.
Maybe I'll write more about this later. Sleep time.
