He was a touch concerned, upon hearing that Toushiro had fallen somewhat ill recently and afraid he might have been the cause of it, Saix now found himself outside the door to Xemnas and Toushiro's room, debating fiercely with himself whether to knock or not.
... well... nothing gained from cowardice.
So, he raised his hand, hesitated sparsely, then

"Saïx," he said. "Good of you to come by." He stepped to the side so Saïx could enter the room.

No he hadn't really been resting, but to placate Xemnas, he had at least been trying, it was an improvement right?
The minute his eyes landed on Saix, he flushed lightly and immediately turned his head to the side to hide the blush with an irate 'harumph!'.
It wasn't that he was really angry. He was just being difficult for the sake of being difficult.

At Toushiro's obviously indignation with him, Saix had to let a small, and almost invisible smile curl his lips.
"I see I am not forgotten." He commented quietly with a touch of an amused lilt to his voice as he turned his attention back on Xemnas.
"Superior, it has been too long since we've last met, I had meant to inform you of the mission's success... however I was... waylaid." He finished awkwardly, not quite sure he was ready to bring up his brief encounter with Greed.

"Hard to forget a man who tries to kill you then makes it better by kissing your wounds in a span of less then 30 minutes." He mumbled feeling sulky already at having been forced to rest by Xemnas.
So really he was just being difficult for the sake of being difficult.
"And you need to discipline your subordinates better." He called to Xemnas obviously a little grouchy.

He knew Toushiro was being difficult and wondered if the shinigami's actions were a sort of payback for his insisting the other get rest. He mentally shrugged it off and turned back to Saïx.
"'Waylaid?'" he repeated. He let his gaze fall on Saïx, searching his features for some sort of explantion without outright asking for one.

"With little doubt, it brought about much better results then my attempts at explaining the situation."
In hoping to delay his answer if only a bit, Saix wandered over to Toushiro and pressed a soft, almost butterfly like kiss to Toushiro's cheek while giving a soft murmur that he inteded for both to hear;
"Discipline never works snowflake." He teased and straightened facing Xemnas as the smile practically melted off his face.
"Yes, I had a distractive argument with my roommate." He answered shortly, hoping that Xemnas remember his roommate was Greed, and that they had (and possibly still did) held a romantic inclination towards each other.

Xemnas noted the way that Saïx was evading his quasi-question and let his eyes narrow slightly in suspicion. He looked Saïx in the eye and took a few steps forward.
Yes, he remembered who Saïx's roommate was and a few details about the relationship that Saïx had with him. "Dare I ask how that went?" he asked. He wasn't sure he wanted to know, but another part of him was curious.

Finally he settled for a half strangled yell of frustration and buried himself back under the sheets.
Damned men he couldn't stay angry at!!!
"I don't appreciate you two talking secretively around me! And what the heck did you mean by 'snowflake'???" He demanded from beneath his covers.
Reply
"As well as can be expected, and it is simply matters you are too young for dear one." He explained turning to face Toushiro a light smile on his lips as he purposefully baited the soul reaper.
"Snowflake, I find it befitting for a nickname, do you not agree Superior?" He asked glancing at Xemnas with a pleading look to go along with the switch of topics.

Heaving a sigh, he turned back to his desk and went to sit down. "Indeed, it fits well," he said, going along with the topic for the time being.

He turned that glare on Saix and said in a quiet growl;
"I hope you realize I hate being given nicknames, and despise being treated like a child even more." He warned the Nobody with a fierce glare.

"I would never have guessed." He remarked with a small tone of innocence before he turned away and glanced at Xemnas's back and his expression blanked slightly.
"... I had thought to stop by and see how Toushiro was doing." He declared suddenly. "When I had heard he'd caught a cold I was concerned, but I forgot how Xemnas can be in matters such as this." He let out a little laugh.
"I suppose a visit was unncessecary in the end."

He stood. "I think some tea would be good right now. Would you care for some?" he asked, directing the question to both Toushiro and Saïx. He wanted Saïx to stick around for a while. There was much that needed to be discussed.

Did he want Saix to follow him or to stay here with Toushiro?
Gods he must have been tired.
"It could only improve your condition Toushiro." He remarked as he stared at Xemnas, trying to gauge exactly what it was his superior desired.
Reply
He had matters to confront Saïx with, things he didn't quite think Toushiro needed to know.

"I'll come assist you, doubtless it would be difficult to carry three cups and then some." He replied as he moved to follow Xemnas.
"We'll be back shortly, perhaps with some fruit as well if you can manage it. Perhaps you can rest a little while we're gone." He added as he stepped behind Xemnas.
