Toushiro hated to sacrifice proper posture, but these chairs were just damned impossible, and besides... he was scared.
Things like this never went well for Shinigami, ever.So with a resignated sigh he slumped over the table, lying his feverish forehead on the cool wooden surface as his eyes tiredly roamed over the stacks of books in shelves from

Naminé had been sitting in the corner of the room, sketching quietly as force of habit demanded. Though she was no longer required to draw, she did get a sense of comfort from the soft scratching of the pencil against her paper and from seeing the lines appear on the white canvas. She had been trying out something new, wanting to paint since she never really had.
The muttered statement reached her ears through the relative silence of the room and she looked up at the white-haired young man she had seen when she first arrived. Though she had heard him, the young Nobody hadn't been able to distinctly tell what he had said.
Standing up, Naminé went over to Toushiro and gently lay a hand on his shoulder. "Are you sure you shouldn't be lying down somewhere?" she asked. "You look terrible."

"Oh.... hello, Namine." He said blankly. What was she talking about? He was lying down!
.... figuratively speaking.
...dammit.
He sighed miserably. "Probably, but I can't exactly go to sleep in my room." He said blandly.
"My roomate has this terrible habit of .... er.... not respecting... my.... bubble?" He finished lamely. Oh yeah, he was out of it.
"So... I can't really rest in my room." He finished dully.
He knew exactly what Xemnas's mothering would lead to...

She may not know Toushiro very well, but she had a mothering sense in her that made her want to help out any way she could. Of course, had she known exactly who Toushiro's roommate actually was, she probably would not have made the suggestion in the first place.

"N-no, that's alright! He means well, I uh... nevermind, don't worry about it!" He said quickly.
The thought of Namine trying to tell Xemnas not to worry about Toushiro was enough to put a smile on the shinigami's face, which was followed promptly by a round of coughing.

She really thought that Toushiro needed to lie in bed and sleep. And, from the coughing fit, he seemed to need something for that.
"I'll go get you a lozenge for that cough," the blonde Nobody said. "You just stay put."

"Unfortunately I've been... occupied, so I haven't had time to search the area much. This is the only other place I know of, aside from my room." He declared calmly though he was aware of just how stupid that sounded.
"Please don't feel you have to, I can just as easily do so myself." ... if he knew where the infirmary was.

She shook her head. "Won't be but a moment," she said. "You just stay there."
Reply
"No, that's alright, really. I wouldn't want to inconvenience your roommate in case they happened to return." He said quickly but blinked as he was promptly overrun.
"Ah- I'm serious, you don't have to!" @__@

She looked at Toushiro. "And I'm serious, you sit down and stay there." She headed out of the room before Toushiro could say otherwise and went to get a lozenge from the medicine cabinet. Returning moments later, she handed Toushiro a small package of lozenges, just in case he needed more later.

He however, didn't touch them and simply held them.
"Er- sorry to trouble you." He muttered glancing at the floor as a blush took over his cheeks.
He silently prayed she would not notice he wasn't touching them.

"You really should take care of yourself," she told him, softly. "I'm sure someone else besides me would worry if you were to get worse."
Reply
"Yes, you're right this is quite unlike me, but I can't seem to help it. In any case, thank you once again." He repeated quietly as he settled the package on the lap of his hakama.
"Yes, my roommate would most likely be... very upset." He replied vaguely.
