And, while I plan on posting weekly, I thought I'd kick us off with a bit of fun. The rest of you, feel free to post (everyone should have posting access once you've joined) as often as you like (daily, weekly, whatever works for you). Remember, this is fun, write whatever you like provided there is a gift giving thing involved.

So, today's nonsense from me:
December 1: Youko, Kuronue. Yu Yu Hakusho
“You expect me to trust you?” the bat demon snorted, looking at the wrapped box being offered to him.

A smile played with the lips of the silver fox spirit. “How long have we known each other and you still can’t trust me?” he asked, amusement and hurt warring in his voice.

Kuronue looked from the package to Youko’s golden eyes, focusing on how they were crinkled with mirth even though he was fighting to look sincere. “Long enough to know that trusting you is dangerous,” he said flatly. Despite his words, he took the package.

Youko held up his hands, which really only served to show how much his shoulders were shaking. “I’m hurt,” he managed to protest though there was a significant gap between them. “I am,” he insisted when Kuronue snorted at him.

“Then you open it for me,” Kuronue said, pressing the box back into Youko’s chest. He took a large step back when Youko took it from him.

The fox’s expression changed from amusement to one that suggested that he was trying to figure a way out of a trap. Reluctantly, he opened the ribbon on the box, trying to hold it as far from himself as he could while still trying to look innocent. It didn’t help him maintain his act when Kuronue took another step back. He hesitated then lifted the lid, squeezing his eyes closed as an explosion of whipped cream covered his face and chest.

“Thought so,” Kuronue said. He’d been forced to dance back to avoid having his feet and legs covered with the stuff.
