blog - Wednesday evening, Oct 7th (viewable to Nyota's friends)
My gig at Le Chat was canceled tonight. Something about their sound system being broken. At least they called and told me before I made my way down there. I guess it's better that it happened today than on a Friday or something - Wednesdays have been pretty slow lately anyway. It's kind of disheartening when less people are around for my shows, but it's inevitable that when the weather starts to get colder, people go out less on weeknights. I don't really blame them; I've never been one for cold weather either. Fall is beautiful, but Winter I could do without. Give me one good snowfall, maybe a white Christmas, and I'm ready to move right on to Spring.
So anyway, I stayed in tonight and watched an "I Love Lucy" marathon and ate almost a whole pint of Ben & Jerry's. Oh and I painted my nails. Yeah, I know, LAME. I think I really, really need to go on a date or something before I turn into the crazy old cat lady who lives upstairs. Actually, I can't even remember the last time I went on a real date. Maybe I need to spend less time holed up at the museum. Maybe I just need to be less picky?
