Tried a new recipe tonight. The weather totally inspired me to make soups. That is one thing we really miss. Store bought soups constantly slip in wheat to their labels and so " cracking open a can" isn't an option unless I am willing to spend a small fortune on Gourmet soups. I have challenged myself this season to work on some basic recipes that can be made from materials I can keep stocked. ( Non Perishables) In case of " The Bomb" i want to be able to have stores in place. ;)
Tonight was an Italian Tomato. Yellow Tomatoes, Orange Tomatoes, Clamato (spicy), tomato paste and Seasoned Browned hamburger. Served with a dollop of Sour Cream and a Sprig of Parsley. The Spawn inhaled 2 - 3 bowls each with the exception of The Baby(tm). He hates hamburger.
However, my risk tonight was
"Butter Butt" Squash Soup . Left over squashes fill the bottom of my fridge and I needed to deal with them. SOOO... 6/10 with potential. Will be trying that one again.
