Mr. Ambrogio,
You don't know me, but you may have heard of me. My name is Mays Ryder, your niece was managing my band and a very good friend.
I wish I could say that I knew Ziyah well, but I didn't know her as well as I would have liked. I'm not sure anyone did, though...she was a woman you couldn't get enough of, there was just too much she had in her to give. She did more than give Control Freak their chance at the big time, she impacted four lives for the better. She touched my brothers and me in ways we may spend the rest of our lives exploring and understanding, and I hope it brings you some measure of comfort to know that none of us will ever forget her. She was a member of the group, and a sister to each of us. Her loss will haunt us, and her life will be something we cherish forever.
If it's not too presumptuous of me, I've enclosed something I'd like to go into Ziyah's casket. I never got a chance to say goodbye, so this is my symbolic message in a bottle that I hope will reach her on the other side. It would mean a great deal to me.
Once again, my heart goes out to you and your family. Know that we're keeping you in our thoughts and in our prayers. If there's anything any of us can do, please be sure to let us know.
