I was looking through Netflix the other day and found a TV series called the legend of the seeker.  Its a series based on the sword of truth series of books by Terry Goodkind. I loved those books so I thought I'd check out the series ( Read more... )

Yep, it aired! I caught a few episodes of it a while ago, and it looked pretty good. I started in the middle, though, and I haven't read the Sword of Truth books, so I abandoned it for non-comprehension. It was a little cheesy, effect-wise, but good.

They are actually just about to start airing season 2. It airs in syndication. Last year I think it aired on Sunday evenings on whatever 36 is calling itself these days.

I haven't seen that many episodes but if you are a fan of the series.. Just remember its hollywood. And for a fantasy tv series its kinda on par with Hercules and Xena.

But its definitely one of those where you have to forget the source material to enjoy the series.

I watched the entire seasons episodes and once I stopped comparing it to the books I enjoyed it
