it's been a while....
So it's been a while since I've posted something. Oh well, life's been busy, as all college lives are. I just finished a show last weekend, and am still amazed that I don't have anything to do tonight except chill and maybe get some work done early, so I won't have to frantically do it on Sunday. That's always a good thing....So anywho, I finished up my teaching observations for the semester, I'm done with one show and have started rehearsing for the next (oy ve =P), and life is, all in all, good. Tony and I are doing fabulously, even with his looming uncertainty of me going abroad for a semester. I just keep trying to tell him that everything will be okay, and it'd be beyond stupid for me to destroy a year and a half-long relationship for a four-month fling. Oh well. Time will prove it, so I'm not worried.
I'm getting really excited to go. There are times when I think about everything I'm going to miss while I'm gone, like mine and Tony's 2-year anniversary, my 21st birthday (well, I won't be missing it, but I won't be w/ my friends here for it), and his birthday. It's worth it, though. He asked me once why I want to travel. I think it's because I can. Yes, it'll probably put me way into debt, but that gets paid off after I get a job post-college. I want to be able to tell my students once I start teaching about the possibilities that are out there, and how much of a better person you can become by experiencing different cultures. The worst thing, to me, is when someone mocks another culture they don't understand. Travelling helps you to understand other cultures, and see America from a different person's perspective, and that's what I'm looking forward to- different perspectives. I'm also looking forward to travelling all over Europe, too, but that's beside the point. hehe.
So that's my life right now, in a nutshell. Consider yourself informed now. Sorry to neglect all of my diligent subjects. I'll try not to let it happen again.
