Try, Try again
Wow, It's been a while since I've written in this little journal . I guess i've been to busy or just have not had much to say. (Yeah right! I always have an opinion I just have learned to keep it to myself.) Any way it's vacation time again and we are going to Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Va. and Washington D.C. We are all very excited. This year, since my discovery that I have OCD issues, I will try to spend less time worrying about what everyone wears and more time trying to enjoy the trip. Difficult as this may sound, even to myself, I will try. And I stress the word try! After all I am still in recovery. We took a spring break vacation this year and I noticed that the first pics I took of the kids were wearing matching clothes. I realized it at the time, but I guess I chose to ignore it. I do that very well. I will still be the primary packer, but I will try to pack without matching outfits for each person and in order. It still sounds almost un ethical to me though. I mean why wouldn't you want to match in color and designs. Maybe the rest of the world is wrong and Im right! (Uh huh) Trying this new way of packing and vacationing has already caused me a little stress. I just want everyone to look their best. But I have put it in my OCD of a brain to try and ignore those annoying compulsions to fix, coordinate and color scheme everyone and everything! And if not this vacation then then the next, but I will try.
