goals

+lose 20 pounds by June (but, really, May)
+hoop every day for 100 days (and beyond!)
+get back into running (maybe run a half in september, no long term goals, but at least 9 miles a week..once it's less awful out, probably march)
+read 1 book a month/visit library once a month and only check out one book
+dedicate at least 2 hours a day to work
+visit the jazz institute once a week
+finish one coursera course this term
+dedicate 2 hours a week to searching/applying to jobs
+dedicate 3 hours a week to my parents

so far, this will be day 4 of hooping daily and i've seen some improvements in my attempt to shoulder hoop, though it is far from being good. i believe the best thing for my relationship with my parents would be to take on more responsibility around the house, show i appreciate and respect them in that way and continue doing whatever i please in my leisure time. other than that, the best thing would be to move out entirely and only see them in time entirely dedicated to them. we will probably never find a middle ground where we both get what we want.
