we can't all be shakespeare

Ano sa~ Don Quixote had a split-second chance to become something poignant and meaningful.  Sabashima could have found retribution with one final kind act and Shirota could have taught the yakuza clan kindness.  But then it didn't - after enough dialogue for about 3 death scenes! - and that was pretty awesome too.  I guess silly is good too.

The thing is, every time I think of this series, I'm reminded of Yunho singing the jingle on a variety show... and the look of child-like delight in his eyes.  I kinda wanna see what the damn store is like if it can excite that kind of emotion in a young man.  Or they paid him.  Yes, that is far more likely.

The series wasn't the best thing ever...or even this summer.  This is probably obvious since it took so long to finish.  Not only that, but I was caught up until the end...those last 2 have been sitting on my computer far too long.  Maybe it made the end more enjoyable.  IDK, spineless Shirota in the beginning was uncomfortable to watch. But somehow, spineless Sabashima is endearing.  Maybe only unattractive men are allowed to be wimps.  It should be a law.  Minna!  Write your congressmen!  Alright, I'm tangenting.  It's just that bully Matsuda Shota is way hotter.  Well, minus the shiny suits from the beginning.

Alright, I'm calling it a night.  This post is getting nowhere fast and it's a fluff piece, anyways. Except for the subject matter at times...uncomfortable!  BTW, Shota's hot.

Keeper: no.
Tissues: none that I'm aware of
Resolution: I <3 the end with Hyodo and Nishi-yan... but no sequel/special please!
Overall: C
