"ride on time" doesn't seem to make much sense lyrically
So I am developing a theory that Kimura is really just a life-sized Barbie doll...not a Ken, though. Barbie has more career opportunities (at least lately). And they all have corresponding outfits, accessories, and maybe playsets. Let's dress Kimura up as a pilot, give him a suitcase and a pair of aviator sunglasses! VOILA! Instant drama!
Okay, goofing aside, Good Luck felt very well put together to me. It could be that I haven't been able to marathon a series in a while, but I felt like there was a cohesiveness to it. Also, very good chemistry! Shinkai and Ogawa were delightfully awkward up until the very end. It seemed almost realistic. (Though it was hard not to see Shibasaki Kou as a shogun, lol.) I also really enjoyed the sub-plot between Koda and Kuroki. All in all, the characters felt very well constructed to me. Even the ditsy flight attendant was a bit more than just cute and ditsy. When I've gotten used to seeing so many stock characters, it's really refreshing to have that depth.
Flail/Random time: that kiss - GAH! It's been a while since I've seen a Kimura kiss, but I think that there's just something about that mouth.... *melts* And the end with Koda and Kuroki - I've been to Paris 3 times this week! So cute in their jadedness! Kaname Jun's hair was way unflattering...made him look like a skeeze. Jane-san cracked me up! When I saw Takenaka Naoto on screen, I was so like "not him again!" But he was great! Especially his interactions with the other copilot. Yaaaayy! It's Nakao Akiyoshi who made me bawl my f-ing eyes out in Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. He's so young in this! Wait, he's just young... *fail* But apparently, I need to get on this season's GetsuKu because he's in. Need to petition for more hours in the day. And lastly, I <3 Ota...
Tissues: 0.25 - I might have really if I hadn't been half-focused on crocheting
Resolution: it kinda came full circle, but I'll go with a solid 8
