Well that was not the ending I was expecting. No, not at all. I like it. A lot. But I'm really surprised that this the ending they gave after all. I won't go into it further, I guess.
So Strawberry on the Shortcake was a little different in a kinda strange sort of way. It's really hard to describe. I guess that's because I haven't watched anything else with this particular plot pattern before. That's a nice change, since a lot of J-dramas are pleasantly predictable. But the strangeness exerted itself in a very true-to-life kind of way.
I also almost liked Fukada Kyoko (Minami-kun's koibito). Almost. I think it was the crazy that made her more endearing. Isn't amazing that I can forgive crazy, but not stupid? That probably means that there's something wrong with me....
I guess I don't have a lot to say about this one. It was really good. Quality good (IMO), not flaily good. My adoration for Kubozuka Yosuke has expanded greatly. I loved Saeki! Also, I <3 the closing credits and how they aptly tie into the drama. BORN TO LOVE!
And lastly, I think the only other thing that has had this much ABBA in my life was the one time I watched Mama Mia. Once was enough.
