yay for running headlong into a steel door!
Hidarime Tantei EYE doesn't have the dumbest concept ever, but it's pretty close. Doesn't mean I didn't love it, though. ^_^
Let's start with the Special...um, third time's the charm? Yeah, I fell asleep on two different nights before I actually made it all the way through. It was nothing special (no pun intended). And actually, it took me a few eps to get into this drama at all. But once I fell for Yoko's fantastic evilness, it was downhill from there. Also, I've been in a NYC kick. And even though I just enjoy their wonderful genki-ness, it still makes me feel like a creepy old person. But that feeling will go away once I start watching Yoku Asobi Yoku Manabe again and the flail sets in. They're all so damn cute I can't handle it. Especially (right now) Yamada!
I really don't have a lot to say on the plot. It was fine. I enjoyed the opportunities for Yoko to be a bad ass... And actually Yamada was a bit of a bad ass at times, too. Bossing his teacher/nurse/person around. She packed quite a good punch, too. I was surprised, except it was just acting. But what really surprised me was how much I liked her. She was ridiculous and rather dumb. And she reminded me of the Shopaholic chick. She was a whimsical character, though. And for some reason, I laughed every time she went for the "Do not touch" signs.
One last thing, the many creative ways that they managed to hit that poor kid in the head, it's amazing he had any braincells left. Can anyone say concussion?! I think my favorites though were when he ran headlong into the steel door in the police station and the jail bars. (Is that the iron version of Tackey's cell from Orthros? Either way, it's a silly set up. Because, you know, they are both such serious, realistic dramas... XP)
Keeper: hell yeah...if only to share with my town's (other) Yoko fan ^_^
Tissues: just 1 for the field in the last ep
Resolution: even though I'm not the biggest fan of their ending, it's still a 8.8
