There are times when I can’t do anything but look at him…
…though often I have to look when he’s not paying attention…
…it’s easier that way, on both of us…
…because when he catches me at it, he’s got this look…
…like he can see right through me…
…everything I ever wanted to tell him or show him…
…so it’s easier to look away, let him see me without me seeing back…
…otherwise I make him nervous, quiet…
…when all I really want is for him to look at me…
…the way that I know I look at him.
