presidential debates

ahhhhh. where to begin?

All I can say is...I think it was a pretty fair debate. Yes, McCain lied a lot and twisted a lot of Obama's quotes, but I feel Obama defended himself well. I think everyone started rolling their eyes after the 5th time that McCain started a statement with, "What I think Senator Obama fails to understand is..."
And also...what's this?

Where is your flag lapel pin Senator John McCain? It appears that Senator Obama didn't forget his. For shame!

I've been excited about the vice presidential debate ever since Sarah Palin was selected as McCain's running mate. I believe that the first one is coming up on October 2nd? But I was thinking about it and...while Biden of course has much more foreign policy knowledge and experience than Palin, these debates aren't so much about the content of what the candidates say. It's about personality. And I'm afraid- after having seen Biden in the general Democratic debates last year- that he might come across and pompous and condescending toward's Palin. If he laughs after any of her comments I will cringe because I will know that men and women alike will see this as sexism and will want to defend the poor defenseless girl against the bullies. I hope that his advisers will tell him to be cautious of how he treats these debates. Because I must admit, Sarah Palin has already made me LOL after several of her comments in interviews recently. It will be very hard for Biden to keep his composure I'm sure.
