Yesterday was quite the busy day. Yesterday I went to the hardware store, the Library, the playground, and then the movie theater. So first I went to go see some saws, then I went to see if the Library had Tom Sawyer, then when I got done see-sawing, I went to go see Saw II.
It was pretty good, I thought. And I confirmed something. That Jigsaw is one cool fella.
He is officially one of my favorite scary movie villians now. He is brilliant, deep, twisted, and is the only cancer patient I know of that can take a massive beating. Like all great villians, he is clever, crazy, has character, and is at least a little bit funny. But to better understand Jigsaw we need to take a look at his pros and cons.
PROS
* He has never actually killed anybody. He kills without killing. Something I don't think any other scary movie villian has accomplished.
* The man is a genious. And he has a very twisted, yet philosophical outlook on life. His intelligence also leads to very creative traps, machines, and puzzles involving keys and doors and stuff (like a really messed up Zelda game).
* He knows what he is doing. Stuff just doesn't happen by accident. The movie doesn't happen by seven kids going on a road trip, and they just happen to run out of gas near an abandoned meat factory where a canibalistic madman lives and tries to hunt them down for no good reason except to keep the movie going. Jigsaw plans out what he is going to do, and does it perfectly.
* He has access to the creepiest house ever to exist. It would make a great place for a Halloween party.
CONS
* He is gonna die before Saw 3 comes out.
* He could use less free time.
* He plays with dolls.
Well there you have it. Jigsaw is awesome. He is one of my top villians now. But it looks like he will be dying before the next movie comes out. But you never know. The Saw movies are full of twists, so maybe he will actually not die or find a cure for cancer or become a Super Saiyan or something.
