my grandparents are here! they are cool people. last night we took them to see the construction on roosevelt, lincoln, and university house. they'll be at my concert tomorrow with youth so ya'll can meet them (or just see them) if you want. i look a lot like my grandma.

and i'm going to be a salutatorian, which basically means that i got a 4.0 but didn't take the HARDEST classes i could have. sounds good to me. being a valedictorian never meant much to me. it's not something i have striven for so being salutatorian is a nice surprise.
i'm in a japanese fourth year class but a few of us are fifth year students. just recently, we (the fifth years) have started going to a different room with the student teacher and speaking only in japanese. it was hard the first few days but it is getting so much easier! i love it so much and can't wait to study japanese in college. i really want to room with a japanese exchange student so we can speak in either english or nihongo. that would help me learn to talk much quicker and more clearly, plus i'd learn all the current slang straight from japan!
