Well, this is a condensed version of my past week.
Friday - went to Heather's house with Amanda, Sasha, Nathaniel, Lincoln, Matthew, Ken, Alex, Ilia, and Prathna. She treated us to breakfast which consisted of heavenly crepes (with fruit, whipped cream, nutella, honey, etc), muffins (which I brought), fruit salad, potatoes, croissants, and some loaf of bread with eggs inside which we never really got around to eating.
Then we had a Star Wars movie marathon. We watched numbers 4,5,6, and 1 (in order of which they came out). They're like... two hours each AT LEAST. I DIED. But it wasn't so bad, considering that this was the first time in my life that I've ever watched Star Wars. But it wasn't interesting enough to prevent me from dozing off occasionally, and I don't think I'll be renting 2 and 3. However in number 1 the mentor of Darth Vader's mentor (I forgot his name) was the guy who played Ras Al Ghul in Batman Beyond! I recognized him immediately - and this role is pretty similar to the one he's had in Batman. Still, he was good <3
I left with Lincoln at like 10pm (we got there around 10am) because I started getting an allergic reaction to her spastical kitten. Benadryl only helped me for like... two hours. I need those pills I took at Kim's house, they worked better.
Saturday - Amanda, Nelly, Shani, Prathna, and Alex came over at 10am so we could get a lift to Yorkdale where we took the train to downtown Toronto. Our mission? Prom dresses! We went pratically everywhere... Queen, Spadina, Kensington Market, and all the other stores where Amanda thought we should go (she mapped out all the roads and stores we should go to. She lost it though). There were some stores where they had cool stuff, and I tried on a red dress that was pretty cool, but when I saw it it didn't exactly hit me over the head with a clay-eating transvestite and say "Hey! I am your dress! Buy me!"
So yeah. I'm still dress-less for Prom. w00t. But I did buy a new sexy winter jacket. And I still get to wear it - why? Because we still get snow up here! Damn it... D:<
Tuesday - Went to work. Was doing a pretty good job (I got the hang of managing a kiosk). BUT I was laid off. The kiosk was barely making the rent for setting up in Vaughan Mills, so they couldn't afford help and I was too expensive, so I was laid off (I was the only staff they had anyway). Now I'm jobless when I needs moola for Prom, University, life in general... *grumblegrumble*
But on the up side, Evan says his restuarant is looking to hire, and they get paid 9 bucks an hour. I'll have to submit a resume and chat up the boss. I don't think I want to go into retail again, what a hassle @____@;;
Today - I got an official letter from OCAD about my acceptance. Apparently there's more than just a creative piece and a portfolio that goes into being accepted into OCAD - I have to show them an essay I did for one of my high school 12 U or M courses, then talk to them about university writing expectations. I have to make an appointment. And if I do accept to go into their program, they want a non-refundable acceptance fee of $300.00. Leeches! It had better go into my tuition, you stingy bastards. >___>
Yeah, that's about it. I should update more regularly so my journals aren't so friggin long. xD
Now...back to Law homework.
