Because I'm a follower, I'm going to also do a monthly unwritten story meme, just as others on my friends list are doing.  This is for January, and I will do a new one each and every first Friday of the month (unless I'm on vacation, which could happen in July and September.)

Prompt 2: Tony serenades Gibbs.

You must remember this
A kiss is still a kiss
A sigh is just a sigh

Tony ran his fingers through Jethro's hair, smiling as he noted it was getting long.

The fundamental things apply
As time goes by

His voice was a whisper, but loud enough for Jethro to hear.

And when two lovers woo
They still say "I love you"

A pause as Tony softly kissed the corner of Jethro's lips.

On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by

Tony straightened up as someone entered the room, smiling slightly at the nurse as she checked the IV. They were used to him by now and usually worked around him, knowing how reluctant he was to leave.

He had to be here when Jethro finally woke up.

Random question: have you ever seen the British comedy called As Time Goes By? The song made me think of the show (obviously) but for some reason the nurse, in my mind, is a very young Jean Pagetter.
