Saddest moment! There are lots of sad moments in this series, mostly having to do with the death of a character. But to me, the saddest moment I've ever seen in this series is in Hiatus.
Gibbs stumbles out of bed into the bathroom, and stares at himself in the mirror. He doesn't recognize himself, because he's years older in person than in his mind. Then, to make things more normal for himself, he takes a razor in hand and shaves his hair high and tight. One moment of normality in his amnesia filled head.
That scene is so powerful and thoughtful and just so, so, sad. You see Gibbs struggling with his memories and his reality. Harmon did such a good job in Hiatus, but right there, he kills me every single time (which is probably why I don't watch Hiatus very often!).
