30 Days Meme "Favorite Episode"
I found that some of my LJ friends such as sinfulslasher and nakeisha are doing the NCIS 30 Day Meme. This is a daily question of your favorite season, character, episode, etc. Since I'm a pretty lazy poster, I thought I'd just pick and choose the daily memes and post the ones that I really had a decision about. The first one I'm doing is Day 3 "Favorite Episode."
I love a lot of episodes. "Meat Puzzle" is macabre and creepy, but shows wonderful relationships between the characters. And really, I think I absolutely fell in love with the show with the Illya Kuryakin line of Gibbs'. I love "Heartland" for giving us Jackson, love "Flesh and Blood" for giving us Senior, and any episode with Fornell is a keeper. "Requiem" made me bawl, as did "Call of Duty." So, with many great episodes to choose from, I never thought I could name one single episode I loved over another.
Then came "Baltimore."
From the first tackle of Gibbs by Tony in the past, through the concern of Gibbs in the present, the episode showed the connection between Tony and Gibbs and how much they mean to each other. With or without slashy goggles, the episode screamed the deep feeling of the characters, and how Gibbs knew right away that Tony was "good," and you don't waste good.
As for tomorrow, I didn't think I'd do a "Least Favorite" (though I have quite a few, lol), but yesterday I realized there is one episode I truly despise, and not just dislike. Tune in tomorrow...
