there will be two picture posts today. this one will be of the house and random things occurring therein. i figured we would one day want to remember this first little house we made a home in, and i know i am always curious about my parents' home on myrtle street. i live to satiate my future babes.

in the living room. big ol' ikea mirror and frame full of lovers. to this i will soon add two of my "sweet clementine" (norwegian stationary designers) cards that bonnie bought me in england.
dining room. i have a tree fixation right now.
we finally put stuff up in our bedroom. these are shelves we made for 2 dollars total (there is actually also a third included in this dollar amount) from the ikea ransack bin. not bad. the right side of the wood is unfinished, but we will figure something out.
the only real art class i ever took in school was my senior year of high school. these are the best output of that. (l to r: scratch board of prairie dogs, stippling portrait of the cat from bob the builder, pencil sketch of a picture of two of my dad's and one each of mine and my brother's hands)
re-painted bathroom. it is in a bit of disarray, but the point is that it is not gray and dungeon-y anymore!

guest room with new linens. tater wrecked our previous linens with his muddy paws and propensity to jump. these are the nicest feeling cheapest from ikea. we had to get something quick for my cousin and his wife who were here two weekends ago.
