the milky way of yesterday. got silk?

milk has exploded all over my face in a frenzy of small red blemishes, the kind celebrities always get paid a million dollars to use pro-activ for, only redder (if the principle of "eat now, pay later" holds true). i have never seen a fury so determined since i was but a braces wearing, drooling, caterpillar eyebrow having teenager. i have always had such a native connection to milk. cows were my three-letter answer to that all encompassing character defining question of favored animal species. as such, i collected them with great fervor. stuffed, porcelain, cookie jars, candles, coffee mugs, note pads, wall posters. so revered were cows to me that, even during those years of animal crackers and sorbet cups, the cow shaped animal cracker enjoyed sanctimony, his carbohydrated life ever spared. i may have eaten neapolitan ice cream from a tub every day in the year 2000. i held a particular fondness for chick-fil-a ads. my mother is from wisconsin. her parents always brought us a brick of brick cheese. i groaned along with silverchair, angsting, "why can't the livestock be free?!"

admittedly, much of that has since changed. now the chick-fil-a ads creep me the heck out. my favorite animal is a potato dog. i collect dollah bills. my daily (nay, monthly) ice cream habit is buckeye blitz and/or birthday cake ice cream from that brand only wal mart carries. even still, it is with great sorrow and deep regret that i wave goodbye to that cheese boat floating on a milky sea of lactic goodness (though it is likely the milk protein that disagrees with me and my stomach, my fingers, ankles and crelbows...and my freaking face!) and hearken hello to vanilla flavored silk which reminds me of worm butts, and, so, summarily, establishing a new daily ritual of puking in my cheerios. as early as this evening i will attempt my new soylution by ordering my iced marble mocha macchiato from starbucks with soy. do i say it before or after the drink name, though? i am not good at menu amendments.

the penchant for coffee i have worked so hard to establish? dashed to bits!

in other fnews: hard boil old eggs. mom, we boiled our expired eggs last night and they peeled like a dream!

collecting, ice cream, starbucks, milk, allergies
