Of Plush Things.

To kick off my fall break, I spent the weekend half in Philadelphia going to Zenkaikon and half in Providence visiting the assassin who will someday kill me if all goes well (don't ask), which meant a lot of taking the Amtrak train. I had never done this before (Septa doesn't count!), and it was interesting.

For that, I blame Light.

I had this large Light plushie (of Death Note infamy) with me because, while he is technically the Bat Cave's Light as Jilly and I split the cost, I wanted to show him to HWB...so I was riding a train across several states with my bangs dyed turquoise and a plushie serial killer with a scythe (no Note, as the scythe version was cooler) sitting in my lap. Light is surprisingly huggable for being such a heartless dastard. ^_^; I thought that this appearance would make people leery of associating with me, but Light was a huge hit at the ticket booth...the man getting my tickets asked what I was carrying, I explained, and the people in line behind me were all very interested in both the plushie and in Zenkaikon in general. One woman even asked me what she'd have to Google to get more information about the convention. Um...okay...I think I told her "anime convention Philadelphia" because "Zenkaikon"'s not too easy to remember when only hearing it once.

But it turns out everything was worth it, as HWB thinks giant-yet-chibi-plush Light is awesome...he also informed me, however, that I should have bought an L for him before they ran out. :/ Sorry, sir, you're the omniscient one, not me!

I am also quite taken, however, with my spinning vibrating Mokona plushie, also purchased at Zenkaikon. So here, have a picture of the dollies with their respective string-operated vibrating things. Though you can't see Clairdolly's grenade very well.

Also, in unrelated news, Baccano! 9 still isn't subbed and this saddens me. ;_; But I'm positive it'll be worth the wait, and the subbers seem to be doing a great job so far, so I'm dealing. ^^

hwb, my life
