Cabling question - ugh

Aug 18, 2009 09:34

Okay my fellow knitsters...I need help!  I'm working on an intermediate level shawl (yes, I know, I figured I could handle it...hahahahah), and I'm only started on the row 3 where it starts the lace row.  (sorry, I can't post the link, as I bought it from www.e-patterns.com (Amethyst Shawl).

Anyway, my question pertains to Cabling (which I've not done before), the pattern says C2B (which is Cable 2 back right?) then p1, so I slip to stitches to the cable needle, then p1, then stitch the stitches on the cable? or do I stitch to 2 knit stitches, then stitch the stitches on the cable, then p1..?  HELP?  I've already unraveled once...I can do it again, since I just am at the beginning, but really don't want to keep unraveling it...

What did I get myself into?

I figured out what I am doing incorrectly...note to self, so it's slip 2 stitches on cable needle, do 2 knit stitches then go back to the stitches on cable needle...help from http://www.knittingfool.com 'cause I am one...tee hee
