watch there is a problem with my registration and i can't participate in this election
well i'm reading again. reading, like an actual book. like the book that is not in cyberspace that i am staring at through a computer monitor. i think i mentioned i finished the stand in the middle of having no power (very appropriate book for hurricane aftermath) and i've moved onto 'salems lot. of course i'm almost done with it so obviously i've plowed through with the extra time on my hands, plus his earlier books are easier to read without my prescribed crutch.
anyway, i registered to vote at the library, and i know what you out-of-staters are thinking; 'oh fuck another floridian is going to add to the chaos that is voting for a president,' but i assure you that i will do my best to understand the ballot and not fuck it up when i vote for john kerry. uh oh, did i just get political in my journal? the good thing about being registered is if bush does get into office i will actually have the right to dissent, so maybe you'll get my full and extremely thorough reasoning for my decision if something goes horribly wrong with the election. until then i can just blur into the rest of the crowd that dislikes kerry but hates bush. that's not a trend i have a problem with, really. my dad is pro-bush and already said we both might as well stay home since we're voting essentially against each other, which may not be true. while he votes for only republican for his hatred of democrats, i might think a republican is more qualified for the job. i've already said enough to get annoying feedback so i'll leave it at that.
leaving the library, i ran into dan (no not estrin) who sported a pair of fuzzy angel wings. i know enough now not to question it, but my mom did and he told her he's the arch angel gabriel. they started talking about the debates, and he asked me if i registered democrat or independant, and i said democrat so i could vote in the primaries. i like that he didn't add the other option in there. my mom asked me when i'll get a normal friend, and i let her down easy by telling her i never would.
i broke my normal sleeping pattern i got from sleeping after it got dark due to lack of power. all it took was a little bit of caffeine and i was up until 7. i still can't seem to break the early wake up, but i'll probably crash all day tomorrow and it will be fucking great.
