Alright. Everyone name the songs that led up to your taste in music today. I'm looking for some really good songs from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s up to 97. I want a lot and I want tons of responses because I'm in dire need. If you have a favorite band, just name the band and a few tracks you love. I'm really going to love it if I get some

Hysteria - Def Leppard: first album I ever bought on my own I was like 7, EVERY SINGLE TRACK IS GREAT. try Hysteria, Rock It, Love Bites, etc. people will argue with me that their Pyromania album is better. whatever. if you must, download Rock of Ages and Photograph.
She's So Unusual - Cyndi Lauper: I was like 4 and this bitch ruled my household. she was 19 and produced the entire album and didn't look or sound like anyone else at the time, this album from beginning to end is great but if you're downloading shit get She Bop, All Through The Night, When You Were Mine
SKID ROW SKID ROW LOTS OF IT. I just. I can not say enough good things about them. PEOPLE DO NOT appreciate them because they're written off as a stupid hair band BUT THEY WEREN'T A HAIR BAND. They were fucking rock and roll to every extent of the imagination, if I had to choose one person who I admire to meet it'd be Sebastian Bach, I have outlined conversations of what I would say to him because I think they were the last real rock and roll band to have really lived the rock and roll life, afterwards it was nothing but a bunch of pussies compared to them. their first album is really 80s metal-ish kind of stupid but I love it, it's self-titled and it's what made them famous. Youth Gone Wild is my anthem and one of the greatest rock songs ever written IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, I got fired from a job once and played that on repeat and felt a lot better. Obviously I Remember You is the best song EVER best monster ballad really in terms of my favorites it is right up there with Patience and High Enough. You have to see it live. Also download Piece of Me that is MY SONG and it's so badass.
Now their second album, Slave To The Grind, is when they got their shit together and started writing real songs. Quick Sand Jesus is a beautiful song it's seriously one of the best songs ever. In a Darkened Room and Wasted Times, oh my god just do me a favor if you ignore everything else I say in this comment just GET THOSE TWO SONGS it will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself. Really I saw you break down and get their best of because all this shit is on there. I wore mine out I need a new one and I have never done that with any CD in my life not even Wilson Phillips greatest hits.
I am really sticking to the point of this and going with shit that molded my childhood, these are things that I hear and all sorts of memories come flooding back to me and when I think of being a kid I think of this shit. I am skipping over GNR because like, what more can two people say to each other about one band, whatever it is we will find it I'm sure. Actually I've been meaning to write an entire entry on when I watched the world premiere of Patience on MTV in 1989, it was like the event of the century. I NEED MORE TIME. Ok if you want more butt rock choices, you can't go wrong with Poison. Unskinny Bop, Something to Believe In, Talk Dirty to Me, NOTHIN' BUT A GOOD TIME I am putting that on right now. Best Of man get yourself some Best Of CDs you will be so money. Same with Warrant, I was majorly into them and Heaven again is right up there with High Enough and Patience. Alright I'm done with the butt rock but if you've missed it obviously go download High Enough by the Damn Yankees right this second. ALL OF THAT WAS BEFORE I HIT PUBERTY. No wonder I didn't have hobbies as a kid I was too busy listening to crazy music.
