Fuck's sake, I think people go to CostCo just to eat. The sample tables all had mobs around them roughly ten people deep. I'm not kidding about that. You could scarce get through the aisles. I would also think there'd be some sort of "limit one per customer" rule in place, but no, people just stood there and ate like it was some sort of free buffet. The ones that didn't stay still had four or five samples with them as they walked off.
I go to the place because I like to buy things like paper towels, laundry detergent and dish soap in bulk. Stuff we need a lot of, you know? But I could barely get to it because it was feeding time at the hog pen on every corner.
And yes, I said "hog pen". Because with all the pushing and shoving these people were doing to get at the food, they might as well have been a bunch of pigs.
