(no subject)
i really feel like writing in here tonight, but i dont know what to write about so it may take a while.
the last episode of Green Wing was on foxtel tonight. I had a bit of a sniffle when things turned out the way I thought they would. I thought that the ending to the Joanna/Statham story was surprisingly beautiful. The only let down was that it wasnt very funny.
Aarons been away at collie river since Wednesday. I was supposed to go too but sometimes I dont feel comfortable around The Kites. Partly because they all already know each other and I'm like the outsider. Partly because they're all mostly of the opinion that being drunk = fun and I'm really not, so I usually feel like Debbie Downer because I dont want to get drunk just for the sake of getting drunk.
They're really nice people though, and I do like them...maybe I should make more of an effort, I dont know. So anyway I didnt go because I thought that Aaron would be able to have a better time if I werent there.
OH! christmas! that happened! On Saturday we went out to lunch with Dad and Fil and for the first time ever Rebecca's John was invited. Well actually Rebecca told dad she wouldn't be comming if he didn't invite john, then dad rang to say that Aaron was invited too, only he couldnt remember his name and unfortunately he had to work anyway. So lunch was okay, we all just got money from dad.
Christmas day I was supposed to go to Aarons dad's for lunch, but it got changed to dinner at the same time as our dinner so I couldnt go. Instead Aaron called past on his way to his dads and we exchanged presents. I got him the 1st and 2nd season of Sliders on DVD and I also made him a compilation CD of songs that make me think of him. He got me a Sarong which is black with white chinese characters on it, and he'd taken me to Tripod and few weeks ago.
When Mikey and Bec got here we did the present thing. It was so funny because I open Mikey's first and its this awesome Japanese tea set and then I open Bec's and its this awesome Japanese Tea set! So they're going oh god! you can it back and get something else, but I'm like this is the greatest thing ever! I'm keeping them both! I reckon I'm going to start collecting tea pots/sets, I've got three now, I'm on my way!
Dinner was good, late but good. Rebecca made tiny cup cakes which were so cute and yummy. I think I'm really lucky that all my family get togethers are really fun. Poor Aaron never has a good time at his :(. what I think we need to do is adopt him and Cairo so that they're one of us and then we can all be nice big functional fun family!
I went to see Happy Feet with Aaron on Boxing Day! I really enjoyed it, there's nothing quite like penguins that sing and dance! Aaron got me one of the Mumble toys which made me happy, he's so soft ^_^
The last few days have been filled with left over ham, Harvest Moon DS, and visiting Nana in the hospital. all quite boring really. I havent made any plans for new years yet and I dont know if I can be bothered, all I really want to do is stay home and watch the Dr Who series 1 marathon thats on foxtel but mums Vetoed that idea because she said her and john were most likely to stay home and watch movies! honestly no respect for The Who! If someone were to tell me what to do though I'd just go along with that, I'd like to see Cai and as long as Aarons there I'll be happy
