Ah sweet rejection

Ok, so maybe I was being a bit sarcastic. I'm guessing though that no one wants to open a rejection letter 5 minutes before their family arrives for New Year's Day dinner. NEC apparently didn't like my preliminary tape. I'd like to say their loss, but somehow I think that's being a bit too unrealistic. Still, life goes on, and I still have 3 more auditions to take in the next couple of months. Basically it just means I'll be working all the harder. Not quite sure yet what I'll do if I don't get into grad school. Hadn't really thought about that yet.

On the brighter side, found out that my fantastically talented friend from Boston is going to be here in March for a concert. It'll be great to see her. I'll be advertising to everyone I know via e-mail I'm sure. Haha.

Next up on the concert list is Haydn's "Creation", next Wednesday night. Then except for a few rehearsals the rest of this month I'll be off until March! Time to work on my solo repertoire! Now where did I put that Italian songbook??
