Oh that was going to be awkward no matter what. Awkward is pretty much all Tess does. It was pretty much perfect :)

That was the beauty of it! There was really never any hope it would be anything but. :)

You had some great lines bubble up out of the Tess awkwardness, however. There were a couple where I was like, OUCH.

The extra random thing is that I almost NEVER get tapped to play anyone's mom, for whatever reason, but this was like the One Day of Playing Moms for me. Well... moms, badasses, and badass moms, apparently.

*trying, not in the sense that she didn't succeed in ordering me about, but in the sense that no one else would actually allow me to take the time to eat every time she ordered me to sit down...

I have a lot of experience getting easily distractable girls with big imaginations to eat when they keep getting up from the table and trying to wander off with their food uneaten to play a cool pretend game. Somehow. It's a thing I've done before.
