I want to start off by thanking everyone who went out of their way this event to help me have a good time. I confessed to a few about how I have been suffering Postpartum depression since Having Jack, and I have been trying to SuckItUp only to find despite having an AMAZING support system, it's been getting worse. I start counseling in a week or so, which should help a lot. Finally admiting I needed outside help also made me realize that this has been a large part of why I haven't been enjoying game as much. SO thank you, thank you SO much for hugging me extra, giving me plot love, and being patient when I lost my cool. I never want to come off as a drama queen, I really am not, but my cope is low and my reactions high right now. Know if you witnessed or bore some of the brunt of it I am very sorry, and I hope I got to speak to you and apologize in person, I tried.
Annnyway, highlights! I really did have a great time yucky weather aside!
- Oh silly gypsy King, whatever am I to do with you? I enjoy the fact I can mama scold my King and fuss over him like one of my children and not fear death. Gypsies for the win!
- Letters! Yeah...Klee and I sent alll those love letters. Why? Because we meant what they said, in game and out of game. With the dark of winter, we just wanted to give everyone a smile and a nod to their awesomeness (or hellos to new characters). However, watching the conspiracy theories fly was unexpected entertainment.
- Sledding! Gypsy coin belts do not make good sledding clothes, so I did not sled myself, but great fun watching and giggling with everyone!
- World Rune- I am so glad Petros asked me to help. This was a lot of fun, both rehearsing with everyone (especially Halia, Mercia and Esme!) Then the mod, first of all the dynamic was a hoot, challenging but fun! The singing- WOW. I know Zephyr rocks music, but the sound of all the parts together was just amazing! A ton of fun, I don't get involved a lot in musical plots because I don't read music, and am really not great at it, but I do love doing it, so this was great. The world rune was so cool, and gave me my favorite quote of the weekend: "And where are the rest of you from? (us) "...*crickets*...Sh...Shadowfane? Shadowfane. SHADOWFANE! YEAH!" D, you will always be the voice of forces of nature in my mind *l*
- Petros and the other Eurvain beaming for their success! We done guys!
- Rosie, oh the plans you and I shall make!
- Junior Alchemists! I love stuff like this, and it was fun to get to do something I don't usually get to do skill wise. Following the root felt natural for Sasha, she's definitely earthy. Spent extra time in there talking to Zephyr, was nice to feel like she could be there for him.
- Giggling with various folks over ridiculous things. Bromancer is a thing now. Thanks Averick for taking that way to far :P
- Knuckle Bones is my favorite. Just sayin.
- Some intense roleplay over the fates of certain company members has lead to crazy ideas. That's all I am saying. I can hear you twitching from here Ezrem.
- "When I tried to help -my- people, all I got was dead friends." :P
- Enjoying my re-write so far, I lurv me some herald skills. I loved Solomon's reaction : "So your powers are LITERALLY fueled by baking and love?" Indeed sir! So no Adeon, no more possibly-going-to-explode rituals in my hearth please ;)
- Hugs from Maggie and Vanora, who brought be back to myself when I started flipping out because Grum died. Thanks ladies.
- Dinner was as always awesome, good food, great company, stories and songs!
- Best of all? Beer and flowers! I got brought in to witness our hall COVERED in flowers and beautiful lights, all of my company standing there with flowers and bottled of 'beer' and banners ala the last session of 7V all over the place. My Mad family is so wonderful, I carried that in my heart all weekend (and even still) and it just filled my heart. It was exactly what beer and flowers mean to me, those happy moments and wins that make a game breathe and get you through the dark side of heroics. Thank you guys so much, and I love you Ezrem for making it happen.
I know there's more, but for now that's what I can pluck from a very tired brain! Thanks awesome staff, npcs and pcs for not just handling the weather, but doing so with great spirit!
