What I had originally be dreading as a bum week has turned out to be an awesome one!
After a delightful and long over do weekend of sister time (with bonus Elf Queen!) my sister of pure awesome came down monday night so she could escort me to my thyroid biopsy and keep and eye on the Bean. Instead of dreading it, I began to look forward to sis time and our sushi lunch.
The doctor turned out to be wonderful, and very skilled and the whole thing was done pretty quickly considering. Bean charmed the entire office and his god mother got to beam in pride and show him off while I was being seen.
Then Wednesday I got brother time with Locke all day, which was fabulous! We played with the Bean, (epic batman battles at the zoo!) had more sushi and went for a walk in the gorgeous weather. Then he and Grum played some warhammer when he got home from work.
Thursday I taught drawing to Grum's little protege, the 11 year old Pangur Ban. He is an awesome student, and actually listens when I advise him. He is also just a sweet kid with a dorky sense of humor you gotta love.
BUT THE WIN DIDN'T END THERE.
Sadly, my washer died, and I have a repair man lined up to evaluate the situation Monday. So Valeska invited me to make use of her laundry and OH NOES DON'T MAKE ME HANG OUT WITH HER. So Friday Bean and I went over and spent the afternoon. Bean and Z are the cutest dang things, and are interacting more and more. Z was nice and shared his toys, while Bean just followed him everywhere he went, enjoying the huge baby safe space.
That evening we had plans with Eoghan, who surprised us with double the MacMorgrian awesome by bringing Siobhan! We had tacos, drinks and great conversation, where I bombarded Siobhan with sketch books :)
Saturday was spent with Grum and wee man, playing, doing some chores and a trip out to the mall WHERE I GOT BEAN A WEE GENTLEMAN'S SUIT. So freakin cute! They had dropped from $42 to $18.00. Too cute. Will be used for his 1 yr photos. Finished the evening curled up with Grum watching episodes of the Office and chatting 7V.
Today's plans started with a few chores, and will continue with a trip to Home Depot for box garden making supplies and perhaps some more 7V work.
Been a great week, I have not had so much company in a while, and it did me a lot of good. Will make this week easier, with a doctor appointment for me (follow up to biopsy, despite knowing I'm fine I'm still nervous), weight check for Bean (where I am hopefully proven right about something and at least will get to check in with his doctor about what had happened, long story, just know wee man is fine) and my mom has knee surgery on Thursday.
