New Year's Day
Slept in today, as I did not get home until 3AM. I was down in Detroit at the Fox Theatre to see the Barenaked Ladies in concert for New Year's Eve. A really good and fun show. It was like a greatest hits show as they sang most of their hits. As usual, they added some material that they only do at their concerts. I have never been to a large New Year's Eve event before, so this was exciting just for the experience of being surrounded by a large crowd celebrating at once. My ears are still ringing slightly.
2008 passed away. It was an okay year. It had its good and bad moments. For me, nothing life changing, earth shattering, nor shocking happened. I know it has been a rough year for some. I guess I'm lucky in that I didn't have to worry about losing my job or house.
Many people are looking forward to 2009 as a year of change. (Edited out a whole paragraph complaining about people. Didn't want to change the tone of this post, so will post this thought later). I hope everyone has a good upcoming year. Make it a fun year with memorable experiences.
