HI WORLD. It's been a while, which I largely blame a lot on having finals. Finals week was probably one of the worst weeks I've ever had in a long time, but whatever. Done is done and I'll be home tomorrow and I have a lot of junk. And a lot of trash, and packing really does suck.
(
la di da this thing I call life )
That's something I hadn't considered, even though Amy had expressed some boredom at being stuck in Ledsworth (but I think they moved elsewhere?). Nothing like bringing back the universe and almost crashing in a ship to set off a marriage and all.
I know! I was wondering if Future!Doctor had just driven himself there, or if the TARDIS was the car he was sitting on...But River said time can't be rewritten, since if he stopped himself from dying, they'd never have stopped it in the first place? IDK but it did remind me of this video :D
THAT IS TRUE. Maybe I was just trying to extrapolate more meaning from it, since we still don't know who's in the suit to start with =/ Argh, this is frustrating.
If it was from the Lodger, does it mean that the Silence have time travel capabilities as well? That'd be something new...
I feel like the three months/alloy is just going to get swept under the rug as 'THINGS WE WILL NEVER KNOW' :| Arghh.
BUT WHY A SPACE SUIT. Like, of all things, why did they need a space suit and where does that eyepatch woman fit in and Amy and argh, all of this stuff. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE
THAT'S AN AMAZING INTERPRETATION I LIKE IT :D
There's never such thing as a long response till you break the word limit

Yeah, BUT the Doctor just explains this with timey-wimey nonsense. I never really looked at this show for any kind of Time Travelling logic TBH. :D And I really wouldn't be surprised if Moffat goes there.
If it was from the Lodger, does it mean that the Silence have time travel capabilities as well? That'd be something new...
Well, how the hell did they manage to put a 2011. astronaut suit in 1969. if they can't time travel??? THIS IS ALL VERY CONFUSING TBH.
And now to the rest of your post:
I'm also a little puzzled of how the girl got away and out of the suit, if the Silents wanted her so badly. Or was having Amy a suitable replacement for whatever they were trying to do?
Everything about that kid is weird. She is obviously not a normal human. She has extraordinary strenght and can regenerate, and these are only two things we know about. Plus, she's apparently somehow very important to the Silence.
As for the picture of Amy and a baby in that room - I'm gonna go with time travel again. Even if she has a baby in the future, somewhere along the way they snap that pic and AFTER that something happens and these events occur the way we saw them. What is this SOMETHING - I have no idea.
And what on earth did they mean when they told Amy that she would bring the Silence? Bring it where and from what?
I immediately thought that has to do with the kid. Because that story isn't over yet, who knows what mayham the girl will cause - maybe she'll be the one that brings the Silence and Amy was a vessel - this COULD explain the line - but your part in this is almost over - as in, as soon as you give birth we won't need you for our plans anymore. ALSO, it was repeated a few times that Amy was their prisoner for many days - god knows what they managed to do to her in that time.
@killing/guns/manipulation - YES, THANK YOU! This is what didn't sit well with me either (completely forgot to put that in my post). what the hell happened to 'I'll give them a chance to surrender'?! He did it for the Daleks and won't for the Silence? And what happened to - 'Like I would ask her to kill?' So it's ok to ask an entire species to exterminate another species (without really even realizing why they're doing it)? What happened to raging and angsting over freakin' genocide/mass murder?? Because, the Silence as creepy as they are - the Doctor really doesn't know anything about them at that time. He doesn't know their purpose, their goal, anything. And he just decides to kill 'em all.
BUT what really bothered me the most - he left that little scared girl and went on another adventure. :( What happened to - 'I don't interfere unless there are children crying.'?! They all just left. Without even questioning who the girl was, why she was important to the Silence, where she came from, is she eve ok after everything that happened. Someone DID shoot at her. She obviously doesn't have anyone in the world. AND HE JUST LEFT. That just made me sad.
Then River goes back to prison, which isn't very secure apparently. But she stays there for a promise she made (possibly to earn her pardon?)
I think she made that promise to the Doctor.

IT IS SO CONFUSING. Maybe they needed the girl to power/control their own time machine looking thing?
THAT GIRL, ARGH.
The Silence could've somehow sped up Amy's pregnancy (if she is pregnant?) but the TARDIS not being able to actually determine if she's pregnant or not is baffling. And the look on the Doctor's face when he saw the scanner makes me feel like he's got an inkling of what's going on.
MAYBE MAYBE the Silence were brought back with the universal reboot from the Pandorica, and hence, Amy somehow brought them back? IDK.
The whole segment with the Doctor just doesn't...seem very Doctor like at all. I mean, the Daleks exterminated his entire race, and he went at one with a iron pipe! And he STILL gave them a chance to run. But the Silence, oh no, he's going to manipulate the entire human race to go on a mission of complete genocide. LIKE, WHAT THE HELL DOCTOR. THESE ARE HUMANS, you know, the people you constantly praise as being amazing and remarkable and HERE YOU ARE, HAVING THEM KILL? Like, jepofjsepf.
I know! Children, Doctor. Scared little children being abducted by scary aliens who your companion shot at and UP AND AWAY WE GO.
LIKE. WHAT :| NOT IN CHARACTER AT ALL.

And just NO COMMENT on the whole killing the Silence thing, Moffat apparently has his own veiw of the Doctor and that's it. Maybe this regenration is just more ruthless? IDK I do know I kinda laughed when River dismissed vengeance by saying - it's not the Doctors style. Heh, shows how much YOU know him gurl. :/
Who River Song is. Maybe she's that little girl, which would make her Amy's daughter. Which makes me really, really confused as to how that could happen.
I REALLY DON'T WANT RIVER SONG TO BE ANYBODY ~ELSE. I JUST WANT HER TO BE RIVER SONG.
As for this whole 'aborted timeline' thing... I honestly don't even know what that could mean. I avoid spoilers like the plague so this is the first time I heard about it. Maybe this means like there is a timeline that should've happened, but the Doctor - or SOMEONE - intervened, and it didn't go like it was supposed to (fork in the road and all that) and THAT timeline got aborted or whatever and they now have to fix it? IDK if this even makes any sense.
And why don't they ever kill the Doctor, when they have more than enough chances to?
I KNOOOW! Why didn't they kill all of them. They certainly had the chance - hell, they had a hundred chances by now. :/
And eye-patch lady seems to be a Madame Korvian(sp?) who has some role in episode 7? But why would she be showing up in 1969 of all places?
WHO IS MADAM KORVIAN??? I KNOW NO SPOILERS. :O

Vengeance isn't his style. No, there was never a vengeful Time Lord Victorious that Donna was witness to on her first go around AT ALL. I guess Moffat's trying to show the side of him that is angry, that is alien and darker? But idk, idk- that's why he has companions, to call him out on that stuff.
I DON'T TOO! But the way it's looking, Moffat is setting her up to be Someone with a connection to Someone Important and bdfpoejfse.
THAT ACTUALLY DOES MAKE SENSE. I mean, if you think about it, the universe as it is is kind of an aborted timeline (since it was supposed to end and the Doctor sealed away but he's not so it's kind of a flimsy timeline?) IDK.
I feel like they're plotting something more sinister that requires him to be alive? They wanted the TARDIS to blow up for some reason...
ALL I KNOW IS THAT SHE'S EYEPATCH LADY, AND APPEARS LATER IN THE SERIES. THAT'S ALL I KNOW.

the Doctor noticed something that the other haven't, and he's doing what he does best- running away
This might actually be true now. ASJGLDHSKGHFISGFM
EVEN HIS DEATH KINDA MAKES SENSE NOW!

I just can't see any logical way that it makes sense. ESPECIALLY IF SHE IS WHO I THINK IT IS. IT WOULD EXPLAIN EVERYTHING CAUSE GOOD GODS, IT IS ACTUALLY POSSIBLE THAT IT IS WHO IT IS. ISRJPGFWAPjef
BUT HOW HOW JUST HOW

BUT OMG IF SHE IS WHO WE THINK SHE IS - ASDGFFDHGFJ - MAYBE HE WILL COME BACK, TOO. And maybe SHE is on a vengeance spree.

FIPENfpoesf BUT IF SHE IS WHO WE THINK SHE IS, THERE HAD BETTER BE A DAMN GOOD EXPLANATION BEHIND THIS. Though, wait- the Doctor rebooted the Universe. He never existed, till Amy brought him back, so he'd never have a real time line prior to that so.
Wait. This is making my head hurt.

OH YEAH, AN AWSOME AND LOGICAL EXPLANATION MUST BE BEHIND ALL OF THIS THANKYOUVERYMUCH MOFFAT! Then again, asking logical explanations from the Moff? :/
When the Doctor rebooted the Universe and Amy remebered him everything came back the way it was. So everything that happened before STILL happened. That's how I understood it, anyway AND I'M STICKING TO THAT! ROSE AND MARTHA AND DONNA AND MASTER AND EVEYRTHING STILL HAPPENED!

Logical, hah. Maybe some timey whimey explanations? I'm mostly curious because it means that he'd have to explain her actions/presence in the previous arcs...
OH DAMN YES IF THEY DIDN'T HAPPEN, I'D BE PISSED AS HELL.

Indeed. And THOSE arcs weren't written and planned ba MOffat so that will take SOME explaining.
RAGE! Don't touch canon Moffat. JUST DON'T!
Also - I just read a list of scenes from series 5 where supposedly the Silence made an appearance! If true - very amazing. :D

To be fair, we never really got too much in regards to her background, or why she married who she did or anything else for that matter. It could even be that her DNA in particular managed to bring him back (but that'd mean she'd still be alive by now?)
I KNOW RIGHT :D All those weird little expressions that we never got an explanation for...
