The fidelity of Man

So, updates.

My phone broke last week. Kind of. The screen was basically smashed. I ran into a wall (and I directly hold two people indirectly responsible for the reasons why), and I guess my keys or something hit it and promptly ruined it. Have a new one, at least.

Also, I rearranged my room in the random order of business. Moved a carpet out, moved a chair in and uh, broke another chair. Need to find a new one.

My room is always in a state of mess. Something like that.

This is the most amazing chair that I am totally in love with right now.

Saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at the midnight release. I figured I should write something about since
magic_7_words just did so and I've seen it for about...2-3 days now. So, right. Priorities, where art thou?

Right. First off, the Harry Potter fans are kind of insane. Like the Twilight fans, but in a weirder and way more eccentric fashion that doesn't involve quite so much squeeing. Right.
Also confirmed (much to my woe) that my eyesight is really really bad at night. That or my eyes don't adjust well to changes in the lighting. Got lost on the way home, and possibly ran over an animal. Erm. Hopefully not a person.

Right. MOVIE.

Overall, it was awesome and good. I like to stand by my summation of it like this (free of spoilers- those are in the next section): 2/3 funny awkward humor, 1/3 semi epic and not nearly as dark as I'd thought it'd be. I don't know how I feel about that, along with it being PG and all. Blah.

Lots and lots of awkward humor was around and abound. Seriously, Ron got so much action in that movie it wasn't funny. And Lavender Brown is a scary girl who I would never want to meet. There was none to subtle hints about both ships all around, though some were kind of cute and funny. The whole Ginny/Harry thing seemed really sped up and rushed (and again, why Ginny? Yes, she has good skin. Hermione does to from the superficial level). There was a tenderish scene with Harry and Hermione sitting on the stairs. I don't know if it ultimately undermined the movie's whole attempt at being dark or if they wanted it to be more light. I appreciated it for the penny it was.
The attack on the Burrow was probably the most suspenseful that it ever got. Minus the lake (gods those corpses were creepy) and Dumbledore got to look awesome with all the fire but it doesn't make up for the ending. They botched that a lot. Cause I was under the impression that the Death Eaters basically wreaked Hogwarts whilst leaving. Not break furniture? And Snape's and Harry's final confrontation towards the end was really downplayed, IMHO. It wasn't bad, but not as good as it should've been. Towards the ending, with the cave and whatnot, it started to pick up a little. I will give them a lot of props for the death scene, though. And the part where they all gather around his body...
Characterwise. Luna sadly got only a couple of minor roles. Malfoy did an AMAZING job with the whole conflicted/divided/confused antagonist and the general edginess he had throughout. Snape's final scene with Dumbledore and his other small tidbits were also fun (we never got to see him teach BAW). Ron got lots of action. Hermione becomes more evidently jealous (and a bit funnier). Harry is horrible at scheming still, but trusts Dumbledore to know what's best. All about trust. I still feel like he should've gone all out on Snape at the end, though.
I think that's all. So go see it. I'd see it a second time if I had to.

I really haven't done much. Blargh. Will likely make a writing dump fairly soon. Need to work on skit. And other stuff. Finally got over 3k songs. Don't want to see another video game again for the rest of the month and likely for a long time.

Oh, hey. I made a post finally. Good job self. And it's 3 AM. Should go to bed.

Song lyrics (I always wanted to put this song to someone but could never find anyone...):
So let me fall
If I must fall
I won't heed your warnings
I won't hear them

Let me fall
If I fall
Though the phoenix may
Or may not rise

i'm such a dork, movies: harry potter
