I cannot understand how, as a female, you did not at least make a token effort at cleaning up after yourself after getting your period in someone else's bed. On someone else's sheets.
Sorry, but I also do not believe you when you say that you didn't know it had happened. I'm a girl too, in case you missed it. I've been menstruating for at least as many years as you have. You knew. There is no way you bled that much and didn't know what was happening or what had happened when you woke up.
Even a hurried dash to the bathroom with the sheets to run under a cold shower and a huge I'M SO SORRY note on the mattress (again, I'm female, I'm capable of understanding such situations) would have been better than just leaving it for me to discover, an unknown amount of time later.
