Political Parties

Though the Constitution mentions nothing about the creation or existence of political parties, said parties unfortunately exist in America. Conversely since there is no mention in the Constitution or laws restricting the number of political parties, we technically could function very well as a multi-party society. However, since the Civil War, the United States has essentially run a de factotwo-party system, which we have seen has become detrimental to our nation as a whole. While third parties have made small inroads, they have mostly been in smaller local elections as restrictive ballot access laws have virtually eliminated them from the national arena. If you haven't figured it out by now, today's poll concerns political parties. More specifically, which political party do you identify with? Not necessarily which party you are a member of, but which party do you feel best describes your beliefs as they come to American politics. To the polls. . .
