Right now it is about 9:30 pm EST and I am sitting on the futon watching History Channel and taking my nightly medications.
Of course I will be spending this new year's as I have spent the past two new year's, alone, with no one but myself to ring in the new year. Not even a kiss.
Tomorrow shall be the family's traditional breakfast of Eggs Patricia and then a dinner of ham and beans with rice. Grandma is then going down to Florida for the weekend to attend my uncle's installation as head of his lodge. So this weekend I shall be alone as well, taking care of the dogs.
Past couple of days I've been thinking, especially in putting together the 101 in 1001 list. As one of the things I hope to accomplish is to be more optimistic, because I do realize that I have been a harbinger of doom and gloom these past two years. Just wish I knew a way to be more optimistic. Sometimes it's hard to let go of something I've been holding onto for almost three years now.
