Please Read This: It's Important to me.
I am on the internet.
That is so much more than anyone is New Orleans, or Gulfport, and that Gulf Coast can say.
They have nothing. at all. annd what can you say?
Chris is at my school. He is fromNew Orleans. He may never see some freinds or family or teachers or neighbors again. He's 17. Can you imagine what crosses his mind? Because I can't. I don't even know, and I can't pretend to have the slightest idea.
Why didn't the governement perpare for this? They knew.. the times, speed and direction Katrina was headed in. Why did it take them so damn long to get relief in there? Our president.. the one who is suppose to take care of us was on his ass on vacation. annd then decided. maybe. just maybe he should do something. He rode in his Air Force One that used up so much of the gas we are all paying so dearly for to look at the site to tell us what we already knew: it's devastation.
Those people in the super dome were under the worst condition. Sickening conditions, with children not even big enough to walk on their own.
Do you know how many bodies on average were seen in the streets just as you walked along the flooded and debris filled streets? Too many. The many that should have been saved.
A six-year old boy, walked down the street with his baby brother in his hands. He walked away from the flooding water with 5 more children behind him; holding hands. He was 6. He lead those 6 other human being to safety. That is a [ hero.]
This whole situation pissed the fuck out of me. I don't understand, why we, the all great and powerful country couldn't take care of our own people. WTF@THAT
It disappoints me. It pains me. It makes me rage filled. to see our country this way.
Please. If you haven't done something, contributed money, items or simply just prayed for those people- do so now. Everything you can give;they need. I'd bet my life on it.
